BEASISWA BCA FINANCE 2010 (BCA Finance Scholarships 2010 for S1 students)

Dalam rangka memperingati Hari Ulang Tahun Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia ke-65 dan disertai dengan motivasi kuat untuk turut serta mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa, BCA Finance kembali menawarkan program beasiswa kuliah bagi mahasiswa program s1 selama kuliah (maksimal 8 semester). Pada tahun lalu, BCA Finance telah memberikan beasiswa penuh bagi 20 mahasiswa s1 berprestasi. Tahun 2010 ini, BCA Finance akan menyalurkan beasiswa kuliah untuk 35 mahasiswa berprestasi yang kurang mampu dalam ekonomi. Program beasiswa ini dinamakan “Beasiswa BCA Finance 2010“.

Tiga puluh lima mahasiswa yang akan menerima beasiswa ini akan mendapatkan bantuan SPP maksimal Rp1.000.000 ditambah uang saku sebesar Rp1.000.000 per semester sejak dinyatakan sebagai penerima beasiswa kuliah BCA Finance sampai dengan maksimal semester 8. Mahasiswa yang bisa mengikuti program beasiswa ini adalah mahasiswa yang telah menempuh semester 2 (mahasiswa tingkat 2).
Persyaratan lengkap dan dokumen yang harus dipenuhi oleh pelamar beasiswa antara lain:
  • Mahasiswa/i program S1 yang telah menempuh semester 2
  • Mengisi formulir beasiswa
  • IPK minimal 3,00 dengan melampirkan transkrip nilai terakhir
  • Melampirkan surat keterangan tidak mampu dari Institusi yang berwenang  pada daerah sesuai KTP mahasiswa berasal
  • Melampirkan fotokopi KTP dan kartu tanda mahasiswa
  • dua lembar pas foto berwarna ukuran 4×6
  • Melampirkan surat keterangan dari kampus dengan menerangkan besarnya biaya SPP atau biaya mata kuliah per SKS
  • Melampirkan nama perguruan tinggi berserta kota pada sudut kiri atas amplop
  • Tidak sedang menerima beasiswa dari mana pun

Penerima beasiswa terpilih akan diundang ke Kantor Pusat BCA Finance di Jakarta selama dua hari untuk mengikuti acara “Meet & Greet” berupa ramah tamah dengan pihak Manajemen BCAF, tour de office, dan konferensi pers. Biaya transportasi dan akomodasi sepenuhnya ditanggung oleh BCA Finance.
Keputusan hasil penerima beasiswa adalah mutlak dan tidak dapat diganggu gugat. Proses penyaringan akhir dilaksanakan oleh tim seleksi BCA Finance.

PhD Scholarship in New Methods for X-ray Imaging at University of Copenhagen


Overview
The Niels Bohr Institute (www.nbi.ku.dk) and the Nano-Science Center (www.nano.ku.dk) at the University of Copenhagen (www.ku.dk) invite applications for a Ph.D. scholarship in new methods for X-ray imaging.

The successful candidate is expected to work in the field of X-ray Imaging using phase contrast and dark field methods. The new methods are well suited to perform imaging of soft tissue and the project will be performed within the framework of the Innovation Consortium CIA-CT (see http://www.adm.dtu.dk/Inst/MEK/Projekter/CT_Scanning.aspx).

The focus will be developing a laboratory based system at the Niels Bohr Institute for applications within meat and other food products, but synchrotron radiation experiments at large scale international facilities must also be foreseen. There will be strong collaborations with Novo Nordisk, Danish Meat Research Association and the Technical University in Munich.

Oxford University Clarendon Fund Scholarships for Graduate Studies

Overview
The Clarendon Fund offers 100 full scholarships every year to academically excellent international graduate students at the University of Oxford.

Clarendon Scholarships cover tuition and college fees in full and a generous grant for living expenses, which this section gives details about.

Eligibility criteria
Clarendon Scholarships are highly competitive, with less than 10% of applicants selected for the scholarship. This section has information about the eligibility criteria of the Clarendon Scholarships, which are open to international graduate students in all subject areas who will be starting a new course.

Application process
This section tells you what you need to do to apply for a Clarendon Scholarship, which is done at the same time as you apply to the University of Oxford for graduate study. The deadline is in January of the year you wish to begin your studies.

Awards linked to the Clarendon Fund
Around half of all colleges as well as an increasing number of external organsations offer awards linked to the Clarendon Fund each year. In these cases scholars are offered a partnership Clarendon Scholarship, which this section has full details about, including the process whereby your application may be moved to a college that is not your first or second choice in order to take up a college linked Clarendon Scholarship.

Level of study
All degree-bearing courses at graduate level are eligible.

This encompasses all full-time and part-time Master`s courses (MSt, MSc, BCL/MJur, MBA, MFE, MPhil, BPhil, MSc by Research, MTh) and all DPhil programmes. A list of the all the graduate courses offered by the University of Oxford can be found on the Courses A-Z page.

Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma courses are not eligible for this scholarship.

Subject
All subjects can be funded by a Clarendon Scholarship. There is no quota by subject or preference for any particular course type.

Type of student
Candidates applying to start a new graduate course at Oxford are eligible. This includes students who are currently studying for a Master`s degree at Oxford but who will be re-applying for a DPhil (you would be eligible for funding for the DPhil). Students who will continue to study for the same degree at Oxford in the next year are not eligible for this scholarship.

[Australia] Melbourne International Research Scholarships (MIRS)

 Melbourne International Research Scholarships (MIRS)

Overview
The Melbourne International Research Scholarships (MIRS) is awarded to international students wishing to undertake graduate research degree studies at the University of Melbourne. MIRSs are funded by the University with each faculty having a limited number to award.

Number
Each year the University offers about 220 new Melbourne Research Scholarships (MRSs), of which about 100 are normally awarded to international students as MIRSs.

Benefits and conditions
Benefits provided by the MIRS include:
  • a living allowance of $22,500 per annum (2010 rate)
  • a Relocation Grant of $2,000 awarded to students who are moving from interstate in order to study at the University of Melbourne or $3,000 awarded to those who are moving from overseas
  • a Thesis Allowance of up to $420 (2010 rate) for masters by research and up to $840 (2010 rate) for PhD and other doctorate by research candidates, and
  • paid sick, maternity and parenting leave.

PhD Scholarship on Textiles terminologies in ancient Greece at the Faculty of Humanities at University of Copenhagen

Overview
The Danish National Research Foundation´s Centre for Textile Research (CTR) and the Faculty of Humanities, University of Copenhagen invite applications for a 3-years PhD scholarship on the topic of textile terminologies of Greece in the 2nd and 1st mill. BC with possible outlook to developments in Hellenistic Egypt and into Roman times. The candidate is expected to possess strong qualifications within the fields of linguistics, ancient Greek and ancient Greek dialectology.

Application procedure
Applicants need to hold a two-year Master´s degree (120 ECTS) or the equivalent, or expect to receive such by 31 January 2011. Applicants shall have submitted their thesis at the time of application, to the extent the thesis forms part of their Master´s programme.

Applicants with a non-Danish Master´s degree will have their degree assessed by The Danish Agency for International Education to establish, if the Master´s degree is equivalent to a Danish Master´s degree. Employment as a PhD student occurs pursuant to the applicable rules of the Faculty of Humanities, as well as between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). Under this agreement, the PhD student is obliged - without further remuneration - to carry out allotted work to an extent corresponding to a total of 840 working hours in the case of a three-year contract.

The PhD student will be working at the same department of the faculty as the supervisor. Daily presence at the department is expected.

Accounting and Finance Honours Scholarship, Monash University (Australia)

Eligibility
To be eligible, you must be:
an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, or an international student, and intending to enrol full-time in the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree majoring in accounting or finance at a Monash campus in Australia. Selection is based on academic merit and an interview.

Selection criteria
Awarded to eligible students on the basis of academic achievement in accounting or finance units during the final two years of their degree and any prizes awarded for academic achievement. Final selection will be by a panel interview.

$6000 per annum, for one year only.
